This 2011 “Senior Bat” Reebok Melee serial “1E” is an authentic Melee. Look for the webbing in a used version. This bat is so hot and was in such high demand, with limited supply, that I have not recently seen a NIW that was authentic. That said, this bat was modified and is not designed for league play. 4/10ths of an oz. Was shaved and this bat is STUPID HOT! The ball will travel 50-60 feet further than any league composite bat that you are hitting. That said, THIS IS A HOMERUN DERBY BAT ONLY! I’m a max 280′ hitter and granted, my shot was wind assisted, but I one-hopped the fence at 375′! There are two slight indentations at the end cap, where the vise gripped the end. There is glue or internal shaving rattle in the bat. The grip has been replaced with tape to create an ultra thin grip. It is webbing, like an authentic Melee will. It is the “1E” version, which was the 2nd round of production in 2011, a crazy hot run. Please just have fun with this and hit it when the pitcher is using a screen for protection or for BP when the pitcher is protected.
