The guys that are charging almost double have big machine shops that they are renting and get charged per bat or have a large overhead (Building Rental) (Machine Rental) (Employees to pay) so you get charged more to help pay all these things. SUPER HOT BATS uses the same machine as the other guys but without the huge overhead and are able to pass the better prices to you. Our bats come off the lathe just as hot as if it were sitting in a 10,000 dollar a month machine shop. We are here to stay, and you will never have to worry about are prices going through the roof. THIS ORDER IS TO HAVE ONE BAT SHAVED. Each bat is carefully prepped to make sure no damage is done (Scratches, dings, chips). Once prepped, the end cap is carefully removed, this process can take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes depending on the bat. Even after careful removal, certain bats will require a new endcap. An additional charge will be applied if your bat requires a new end cap. Once the end cap has been removed the bat is placed on our Bolton High Precision Lathe. This is done by pre-programming the lathe to remove a precise amount of material from the inner walls of the bat. The bat is removed and weighed. Weight can then be added back into the end load if the customer wishes. Photos are taken before the bat is worked on, after the end cap has been removed, and after the bat has been shaved to show the bats weight and work that has been done. This causes the bat to be more durable and decreases the chances of composite flaking. Now that the end cap is ready to be put back on. Uses its own special blend of epoxy that will guarantee the end cap does not come off. It is clamped to let dry for 24-36 hours. The customer will assume all responsibilities and risks for any alterations made to the bat. Super Hot Bats shaves bats for exhibitions, home run derby’s and outlaw leagues where it is legal to use them. Our shaved bats are not to be used in sanctioned game play.
