This bat will not pass compression tests. It is a 2014 Z-2000 balanced with about 250-300 hits, the only ball I ever use is 52/300 balls. This bat is not legal in regular play and should only be used in homerun derbys or outlaw leagues. Shaving a bat means the bat has more of a trampoline effect on the barrel causing the ball to come off of it with extremely fast speeds. I personally have hit bombs over 350 ft with this bat and I’m a casual Sunday league player. The bat does have a slight rattle from glue breaking loose, but doesn’t affect the performance of the bat.
